Bob Stoops said he plans to return to the Dallas Renegades for the 2021 XFL season.
The legendary Sooner football coach came out of retirement to coach the Renegades for the revived XFL’s inaugural season. That season was canceled Thursday in the wake of most other sporting entities doing the same, in the wake of the coronavirus spread.
Stoops, who still keeps his home in Norman, coached the Renegades to a 2-3 record and said on a video released by the XFL that, “I hope to” be back. “I know everybody’s excited. The league has been really pleased overall with the success and everything that we’re doing.
