It's been nothing but bad news for Oklahoma Sooners fans when it comes to injuries recently, especially with quarterback John Mateer breaking a bone in his throwing hand, but OU head coach Brent Venables finally shared some good news on that front.
During his coach's show on Monday night, Venables said he expects wide receiver Javonnie Gibson and cornerback Eli Bowen to return for the Sooners' game against Kent State at 3 p.m. CT Saturday in Norman. Both are potential starters who have been sidelined all season so far because of injuries.
