Oklahoma reached a new milestone in the Brent Venables coaching era over the weekend, and the Sooners didn't even have to play a football game to achieve it. The Sooners were the No. 5 team this week in the Associated Press Top 25, moving up two spots from No. 7 a week ago.
The Sooners were off this past week and return to action on Saturday, hosting Kent State at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. OU also moved up a couple of spots in the Coaches Poll from No. 10 a week ago to No. 8 this week.
