OU head coach Lon Kruger heads back to his old stomping grounds and his alma mater, against whom he has not had the best of success in his eight seasons in Norman. Oklahoma is 6-9 against K-State under Kruger and just 1-6 in games in Manhattan, where the Sooners will be on Saturday.
The Sooner head man not only played at Kansas State (1971-74), where he was a two-time Big Eight Player of the Year, but also was head coach of the Wildcats for four seasons (1986-90), leading them to NCAA Tournament appearances all four seasons.
