Oklahoma fans will soon have a new place to shop for gear.
The Sooner Shop, located on the west side of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, will open at 9 a.m. Friday. The store is located in the space previously occupied by the OU Bookstore.
Fanatics, a sports merchandise company, partnered with OU to remodel the 19,000-square-foot store with new ceilings and floors.
"What the team at Fanatics created in The Sooner Shop is above and beyond anything we could have hoped for," OU athletic director Joe Castiglione said in a release. "I'm excited for our fans to see the transformation the space has undergone and experience first-hand this state-of-the-art retail store.
