New OU President James Gallogly flashes 'horns down' sign at introduction ceremony

The University of Oklahoma appointed James Gallogly as its 14th president in school history on Monday morning, and he didn't waste time endearing himself to fans.

Near the end of his speech, Gallogly walked over and grabbed a hat from one of the RUF/NEKs. Then, after finishing his remarks with a triumphant "Boomer Sooner!" he quickly flashed the horns down.

Gallogly's presidency is somewhat of a surprise. He's a 65-year-old former oil executive with very little background in education. However, Gallogly is familiar with the university. He notably gave a sizable donation to Oklahoma's college of engineering last year.
