SEATTLE — For the third year in a row, the Oklahoma women's basketball team has been ousted in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Despite another hot shooting start, the No. 6 seed Sooners were eliminated with a 108-82 defeat to host Washington on Monday night at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Kelsey Plum, the Huskies' star senior guard, scored 38 points to break the NCAA's Division I single-season scoring record and send third-seeded Washington (29-5) into the Sweet 16 for the second year in a row.
The Huskies will play second-seeded Mississippi State on Friday at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
