ANAHEIM, Calif .— Before every game at the Lloyd Noble Center this season, as Oklahoma’s players headed down the ramp to take the court, a lighted sign hovered over them.
“The Road To The Final Four Begins Here,” the sign says.
The Sooners have now arrived at the end of the road, beating Oregon 80-68 on Saturday in the West Regional final at the Honda Center to advance to Oklahoma’s first Final Four since 2002.
Oklahoma did it the way it had beaten teams so often this season — with Buddy Hield and the 3-pointer.
Hield scored 37 points — 17 in the first half including a 28-footer just before the buzzer.
