Most of Joe Mixon lawsuit dismissed

A federal judge on Monday dismissed two of the three claims made against University of Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon in a lawsuit over a 2014 punch at a Norman cafe.

An OU student, Amelia Molitor, sued Mixon in July, seeking damages for negligence, willful and wanton conduct and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Her lawsuit is pending in Oklahoma City federal court.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton dismissed her first two claims against Mixon — of negligence and willful and wanton conduct.

Molitor has 14 days to file an amended lawsuit raising those same claims, again.
