NORMAN — Trae Young's mom is worried about him.
More specifically, Candice Young is concerned about the Oklahoma superstar's living conditions. She keeps trying to send trash bags back to the dorm with him, but it's been to no avail. She shudders at the thought of that dorm room now.
"I know what his old room looked like," she said, laughing. "I'll be quite honest, I don't go to the dorm."
As most folks worry about the freshman phenom shooting too much or shooting too little or whatever the basketball world is wringing its hands over this week — probably has something to do with road woes as OU prepares to head to Lubbock where league-leading Texas Tech awaits — his mom doesn't concern herself with any of that.
