NORMAN — Kyler Murray slowed up a bit to direct traffic, motioning directions to Marquise Brown down the field with his left hand as he slowed down.

The motions wound up not mattering, but his deceleration and then take off allowed him to shake free of Kansas defensive end Azur Kamara on Saturday night, blowing past Kamara and then beating defensive tackle Jelani Brown to score late in the third quarter and start to finally give the Sooners a sense they were going to escape with the win.
