Lowary picked first in National Pro Fastpitch League Draft

Paige Lowary became the second Oklahoma product to be taken with the first pick of the National Pro Fastpitch League Draft on Monday night.

The reliever, who boasts a team-best 0.76 ERA, joins power hitter Lauren Chamberlain as Sooners to be picked with the first selection in the NPF Draft.

Lowary was selected by the Chicago Bandits, and OU ace Paige Parker was selected by the USSSA Florida Pride with the sixth overall pick.

If she elects to play, Parker, a lefty with a 0.85 ERA, would reunite with Chamberlain.
