NORMAN — The NCAA Board of Governors voted Tuesday to allow student athletes to benefit from their name, image and likeness and directed the three NCAA divisions to consider updating their bylaws and policies.

Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley and basketball coach Long Kruger shared their thoughts on the announcement Tuesday.

Riley said it will be important to see how the new rules are put together.

"I think it's certainly not surprising," Riley said. "I think it could be a positive thing. It will be certainly interesting to see how it's all put together.
