Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley made headlines when he made comments about Georgia during a recent radio appearance on Sirius XM's ESPNU channel.
Even though he followed those comments with a disclaimer ("That's not a shot at Georgia," he tweeted. "They were absolutely one of the best defenses last year. It's a compliment to our league (the Big 12)," that didn't prevent the previous quote from spreading like wildfire and going viral.
Was Riley surprised it got the attention it did?
"Not really," he said. "It's a slow time media-wise. I get that.
