DALLAS — CeeDee Lamb’s 10-catch, 171-yard, three-touchdown performance in Saturday’s 34-27 win over Texas unsurprisingly earned the Sooners’ receiver national acclaim.
Sunday, Lamb was named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week.
Lamb tied Dede Westbrook for the most receptions by a Sooners receiver against the Longhorns. Only Westbrook and Manuel Johnson had had three touchdown catches against Texas.
Lamb has scored a touchdown in eight consecutive games starting with last season’s Big 12 Championship Game. Only Westbrook has a longer such streak in school history, with 10 in 2016.
