On the drive to Kansas City on Tuesday for the Big 12 Tournament, we stopped at a travel plaza about 30 minutes northeast of Wichita State on the Kansas Turnpike. Needed some gas and a snack for lunch.
I was travelling with OU writer Ryan Aber and OSU writer Nathan Ruiz, and at the gas pumps, Nathan noticed that the guy filling up his car next to us was an OSU basketball manager, clearly on his way to the tournament, too. I thought that was an interesting coincidence.
But I didn’t know the half of it. We parked after getting gas and headed for the Hardee’s.
