NORMAN — Cade Cavalli can barely contain the anticipation.
“It’s crazy exciting,” the OU right-handed pitcher said of the upcoming Major League Baseball Draft. “It’s hard not to pay attention to it.”
Cavalli is a junior, but there’s no doubt that he’s about to begin his journey into professional baseball.
He’s almost sure to be a first-round pick when this year’s abbreviated draft begins June 10.
That’s exactly where Cavalli envisioned himself when he arrived before the 2018 season as a standout from Bixby.
“I figured I was going to be here three years,” Cavalli said.
