NORMAN — Oklahoma starts a new schedule on Saturday — the Big 12 schedule — and it is a schedule that will be new to many of the players on the team.
With only three scholarship players on the roster who have played a Big 12 conference game before — sophomore guard Jamal Bieneimy, junior forward Brady Manek and senior forward Kristian Doolittle — OU’s nonconference schedule was as important as ever to get the team experience and give it a chance to learn about itself.
Kansas State (7-5) will be the first glimpse at the Big 12 for most of the team.
