'It can't just be mere words': OU athletes among marchers in Norman

NORMAN — For the second consecutive weekend, Justin Broiles was marching.

A week earlier, it was in his hometown of Oklahoma City.

Saturday, it was in his college town, as the OU defensive back participated in the March for George Floyd organized by OU’s Black Student Association.

Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police officers on May 26, sparking calls for police reform and justice for Floyd’s killers.

The march started at Norman High School and went to the south oval on campus.

Broiles was far from the only athletic representative taking part.
