My old boss, Mike Sherman, was a Maryland Man and loved to tell Oriole stories. Many of them delving from legendary manager Earl Weaver. Sherm’s favorite Weaver quote: “There ought to be bad blood between all ballclubs.”

OU and TCU play Saturday in Arlington’s JerryWorld, and the events of Nov. 11 have reappeared as a topic of conversation. Not the Sooners’ 38-20 victory, but Baker Mayfield zipping a pregame pass off the helmet of a Horned Frog. The Frogs jogged single file around the edge of Owen Field but cut through a corner of the end zone, where OU receivers were taking passes from Mayfield.
