Grant Calcaterra's game-winning catch clinches Big 12 Championship: 'That catch will live on in Oklahoma history forever'

ARLINGTON — Kyler Murray needed help from an unlikely source to secure his first — and probably only — Big 12 Championship as Oklahoma’s starter.

If Murray was the headliner, sophomore Grant Calcaterra didn’t even make the card. He entered the contest with a measly 320 receiving yards on the year, and left with a moment so legendary he may have overshadowed his Heisman contender teammate.

It was Calcaterra’s one-handed grab with 2:00 remaining that pushed the No. 5 Sooners (12-1, 8-1 Big 12) to a 39-27 lead over the No. 13 Texas Longhorns (9-4, 7-2 Big 12).
