The last time Oklahoma played Alabama in the Sugar Bowl after the 2013 season, Ruben Hunter was a member of the Sooners as a freshman walk-on who earned Oklahoma's Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year.

On Dec. 29 when the Sooners play the Crimson Tide, Hunter will be watching the game from a billboard in downtown San Jose. The billboard is not far from the site of this year's College Football Playoff championship game in nearby Santa Clara, California.

Hunter was selected to represent Oklahoma against fans from the three other playoff schools — Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame — as part of ESPN's College Football Playoff "Who's In" promotion.
