The ex-Sooners running back star is returning to the NCAA sphere as Fox Sports' newest college football broadcaster.
Before accepting the position, he visited Sooners coaches on campus this summer, he said. Among his takeaways from the meeting with Lincoln Riley, defensive coordinator Mike Stoops and co-offensive coordinator Cale Gundy: Riley is a "fantastic" coach.
"Lincoln's offense is one of the best in the nation," Murray said by phone Monday afternoon. "He's so, so smart at calling plays and he's great at situational football when it comes to third downs, red-zone plays.
