Oklahoma had 18 representatives on the Academic All-Big 12 football team, the conference announced Thursday. The Sooners had 12 first-team picks and six second-teamers.
Redshirt junior quarterback/holder Connor McGinnis and redshirt sophomore linebacker Bryan Mead are two of the league's 11 players with a 4.00 grade-point average.
In addition to those two, the first-team Sooners are wide receiver Nick Basquine, fullback Joe Castiglione Jr., quarterback Reece Clark, lineman Alex Dalton, fullback Jeremiah Hall, center Creed Humphrey, quarterback Austin Kendall, wide receiver Chase Nevel, guard Ben Powers and kicker/punter Austin Seibert.
