The Oklahoma Sooners originally landed the verbal commitment of 3-star DT Derek Green in November of 2017 before he later de-committed in February, citing a family health issue. After taking a couple months off from the recruiting circus, the Jacksonville, North Carolina native decided Norman was indeed the place for him, and on Wednesday he made it official with a signed National Letter of Intent.
From watching his high school film, it becomes quickly apparent just how much of a mammoth Green is at the defensive tackle position. At 6’5” and 290 pounds, he dwarfs the competition with sheer size and brute strength.
