Did 5-foot-7 Eddie LeBaron harm Kyler Murray's NFL chances?

Oklahoma City attorney David Ley sent me an interesting email over the weekend. In a previous life, Ley was an Oklahoma City Times sportswriter, and he’s a keen observer of the state’s sports stage.

Ley wrote about my Kyler Murray column in the Sunday Oklahoman, which you can read here. I wrote about how it’s been 55 years since the NFL employed a quarterback shorter than 5-foot-10.

“Couldn't help but notice Eddie LeBaron's stats in chart that accompanied story. Threw 141 interceptions vs. 104 touchdowns in career. Realize he played on some lousy teams (but did QB Cowboys in 1962, a season many have said was best offensive team in NFL that year).
