Coronavirus in Oklahoma: Sooners women’s gymnastics meet in Minnesota canceled

Maggie Nichols’ homecoming will have to wait.

OU’s women’s gymnastics meet at Minnesota scheduled for Saturday has been canceled due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.

The meet had been sold out for several weeks because of Nichols, who is from nearby Little Canada, Minnesota.

The meet was scheduled to be the Sooners’ regular-season finale ahead of the Big 12 conference meet March 21.

The Big 12 announced Thursday that all conference championships through April 15 have been suspended.
