Columbia travelblog: Finding the gem in the South Carolina campus

The other night at dinner, OU publicist Ben Coldagelli talked about walking around the University of South Carolina campus and finding a regal spot that reminded him some of OU’s South Oval.

We hadn’t seen it.

The Carolina campus has the issue that Texas and Nebraska deal with. Major city, capital city, with the state’s major university campus sitting squarely adjacent to not just downtown but the capitol complex.

That means uncommon energy and a rare vibe, but it also means traffic and urbanization that campuses in Fayetteville and State College and Stillwater don’t deal with.
