Sooners post two wins in Mary Nutter Classic
Grace Lyons delivered a walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the seventh to lift No. 3 Oklahoma to a 2-1 win over Texas A&M Friday in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, California.
Lyons' game-winning hit plated Grace Green and earned OU (10-1) its second win of the day. Earlier Friday, the Sooners blasted Nebraska, 10-2, in five innings.
Freshman Olivia Rains started and pitched five scoreless innings against the Aggies, allowing just two hits and fanning six. Giselle Juarez relieved in the sixth, allowed a run in the top of the seventh, but picked her second win of the season.
