COLLEGE FOOTBALL NOTEBOOK: OU linebacker leaving team; SEC doles out $40.9 million to each member school; Rutgers backs out of UCLA series

OU linebacker leaving team

Ricky DeBerry is looking for another home.

The Sooners linebacker/h-back has been granted a release, according to a report from Rivals.com's Carey Murdock.

DeBerry, a redshirt sophomore, moved from outside to inside linebacker prior to the 2017 season, but he made an even bigger switch in-season by moving to the offense as an H-back.

The former four-star linebacker from Mechanicsville, Virginia. didn't play in any games during the 2017 season. He also missed fall camp with health issues, coach Lincoln Riley said in October.

In 2016, DeBerry saw action in six contests and made one start.
