Sooners radio analyst Merv Johnson will not travel to the Peach Bowl after being involved in a car accident Sunday afternoon near Perry.
Johnson was transported by air to the OU Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He was initially in ICU but was transferred to a regular room Monday.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.
“My dad, my sister and our families are very appreciative of all of the thoughts and prayers that have been extended by friends and strangers alike,” Johnson’s son, Jeff Johnson, said in a news release from the university.
