Buddy Hield was the Big 12 Player of the Year last season, he is the preseason choice as Player of the Year in the conference again this season and this week he was named a member of the Associated Press 2015-16 Preseason All-America First Team.
The 6-4 senior shooting guard from the Bahamas was the Big 12’s leading scorer last season, averaging 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Hield has started every game for Oklahoma the past two seasons. He led the Big 12 in made three-point shots in 2014-15. His 182 treys the past two seasons are the most in a two-year time frame in OU basketball history.
