According to On3's Hayes Fawcett on Monday, Oregon cornerback Dakoda Fields committed to the Sooners before his visit to Norman was even scheduled to be over. Fields became the Sooners' sixth portal commitment of the day on Monday and seventh total after Florida tight end Hayden Hansen was the first domino of the cycle to fall on Sunday.

Adam Gorney of Rivals reported on Friday that Fields was expected to get to Oklahoma on Sunday for a visit before leaving on Tuesday.
