As one of the leading scorers on the men’s Oklahoma basketball team, the 6-foot, 9-inch Manek has proven his skills on the basketball court, and he is also proven to be a star student.
For the second straight season, the junior from nearby Harrah, Oklahoma, has been named to the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 First Team. First-team members must maintain a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or better.
To qualify for Academic All-Big 12, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulatively or of the two previous semesters and have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled events.
