Big 12 efficiency rankings: OSU defense keeps falling

We are more than 50 percent through the Big 12 football schedule, so statistics start to mean a little more. And here’s a sobering thought for OSU fans: the Cowboy defense is getting worse.

OSU’s defense ranks ninth in efficiency, by far the most important metric in measuring offense or defense. The Cowboys rank ahead of Kansas, but not by much.

That is not good. With all the talk about the OSU offense and quarterback Taylor Cornelius, Cowboy fans have taken their eye off the ball.
