All-SEC selections shine light on Oklahoma’s most underrated assets

The Oklahoma defense has rightfully been getting the credit for this season’s success, but the Sooners likely wouldn’t be in the College Football Playoff without their phenomenal special teams unit, as well. Although that unit has went unnoticed, coaches from around the SEC obviously took notice.

All-SEC selections, which are voted on by head coaches in the conference, were announced on Tuesday with 10 OU players getting honored, which was the second-most behind only SEC champion Georgia. Of the Sooners’ 10 selections, four were special teamers, including two of three players on the All-SEC First Team.

Tate Sandell, Grayson Miller, Isaiah Sategna III, Ben Anderson named All-SEC

Kicker Tate Sandell was a no-brainer first-team selection as a finalist for the Lou Groza Award for the best kicker in college football.
