Alex Naddour Takes Home Rio Olympics Bronze on Pommel Horse

Naddour, a four-time national champion on the pommel horse (twice while at Oklahoma), captured a bronze medal in the individual event finals competition, winning the first medal for Team USA in the men’s gymnastics competition at the 2016 Rio Games.

The bronze medal for the U.S. men on pommel horse was the first medal in the event for the United States since 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Ironically, the last U.S. men’s gymnast to medal on pommel horse in the Olympics was Tim Daggett, who is serving as one of the gymnastics analysts for NBC Sports for the Rio Summer Games.
