After historically poor NFL Combine performance, Brown seeks to rebound at OU Pro Day

NORMAN — Orlando Brown isn't athletic.

At 6-foot-8, 360-pounds with 35-inch arms, the traditional NFL Combine tests weren't expected to be his strengths.

Long arms, while an asset for offensive linemen, make the bench press difficult, and linemen aren't especially known for their speed.

But when the numbers came back, they were even lower — much lower — than anticipated.

Fourteen bench press reps, 5.85-second 40-yard dash, 19.5-inch vertical jump.

No offensive tackle has ever been drafted with a 40 time that slow or a vertical jump that short. Only one — Marcel Jones — has been taken with a bench press total of 14 or lower, according to Pro Football Reference.
