When FAU rolls into Norman this weekend, just know that this program looked much different before Lane Kiffin arrived at the end of the 2016 season. Before Kiffin, the Owls had never managed more than eight wins since joining the Sun Belt in 2005.
But in his first year at the helm a season ago, he got FAU to a school-record 11 wins and demolished Akron 50-3 in the Boca Raton Bowl. That victory secured FAU's first postseason victory since 2008, which was also the last time the Owls posted a winning record.
