The Women's College World Series open practices and outdoor fan events scheduled for Wednesday have been canceled due to the high chance of inclement weather, the NCAA announced Wednesday morning.
Gates at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium were set to open at 10:30 a.m. The eight open practices were scheduled throughout the day with a DJ, food trucks, photo booth and autographs signings on the concourse.
The Women's College World Series will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday with No. 3 seed Washington against No. 6 seed Arizona.
