Oklahoma Recruiting Roundup: Sooners Impressing Top 2017 Targets

The Oklahoma Sooners just put the finishing touches on a top 25 recruiting class in 2016 but head coach Bob Stoops and his staff have already turned their attention to the 2017 class. Here are the latest rumors you need to know:

Sooners making strong push for 5-star WR
Five-star wideout Joseph Lewis (Los Angeles, CA) has been shown a lot of interest from USC, Michigan, and Notre Dame, but he told 247sports that Oklahoma is the school that is recruiting him the hardest, which has put the Sooners right at the top of his list.

The 6'2", 190-pounder is ranked as the No. 4 wideout and No. 23 overall prospect in the 2017 class.

4-star WR says Oklahoma visit was "all he could ask for"
Four-star wide receiver Cee Dee Lamb (Richmond, TX) committed to Oklahoma in December and took an unofficial visit to the school this past weekend, and was blown away.

“I love Oklahoma and it is all that I can ask for in a program and in a school,” said Lamb, via 247sports. “It is all that I can ask for and more. They are building on to the stadium and that is great. They already have a great fan base and it is just going to be great. What OU is doing is just going to be better for all of us.”

The 6'2", 180-pounder is ranked as the No. 38 wide receiver and No. 280 overall prospect in the 2017 class.
