Why Luguentz Dort is starting for, but not practicing with, the Thunder

The Thunder finally has time to practice. After a grueling January schedule that never gave the team more than a day off between games, February has handed the Thunder a chance to shore up any recent slippage.

At least, that's been the case for most of its players. The Thunder has been practicing without one of its starters. Two-way contract player Luguentz Dort claimed a spot in the starting lineup when Terrance Ferguson missed eight games for personal reasons. When Ferguson returned, he slid back into the rotation, but Dort held onto the starting role.
