Dedric Lawson started his College Career by staying home and playing for the University of Memphis. He would go on to transfer to the University of Kansas in 2017 but had to sit out the 2017-18 season due to the NCAA transfer rules. Lawson could be a very good pickup for the OKC Thunder.
Lawson comes from a family of ballplayers, his brother K.J. Lawson transferred from Memphis to Kansas University with him but his Jayhawk career did not go as well as Dedric’s.
K.J. transferred to Tulane University following the 2018-19 season, and his youngest brother Johnathan Lawson is a four star small forward according to 247 sports and is being recruited by you guessed it, Memphis University and Kansas University.
