Westbrook Gives Back to UCLA

Not many people can do what Russell Westbrook does on the basketball court, but off of it, the Thunder point guard always tries to put himself in other people’s shoes.

Last season he won the 2014-15 NBA Cares Season-long Community Assist Award for his work in the Oklahoma City area, as he opened up three Russell’s Reading Rooms at local elementary schools and then donated a car to a single mother in need of transportation. Despite getting recognition for his charity, Westbrook was just as relentless in his work in helping others as he was in improving his game.
