Thursday afternoon, the OKC Thunder dropped their fifth game of the 2025-26 season, the third time in which one has come at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.
The storylines surrounding these two Western Conference rivals seem to be doubling by the day. From being ousted in the NBA Cup semifinal to, now, getting bested on Christmas Day, it appears this once unstoppable force in the Thunder may have finally found its kryptonite.
Of course, perhaps the scariest part of all this is that while the Spurs have been absolutely dominating OKC, their superstar, Victor Wembanyama, has been held back by a minutes restriction in every game played so far this season.
