Russell Westbrook was many things in his 11 Thunder seasons. Some good, some bad, most spectacular.
Among those many things was this: a bastion of NBA stability.
Westbrook gave the evil eye and flashed that boyish grin and flew through the air and took wild crazy shots and generally played basketball like he was navigating a haunted house afire.
But he always did it in Thunder threads. Superstars came and went all across the league. The style of play changed. The economics exploded. But Westbrook was a constant, making Oklahoma City basketball must-see.
Then he was traded to Houston, and we all understand why.
