Thunder winners and losers in the Carmelo Anthony trade Thursday that brings Dennis Schroder and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to Oklahoma City.
Winner:Schroder. Schroder was a double-digit scorer on a 60-win team in 2014-15. He was the starting point guard on a playoff team in 2016-17. Then the Hawks went into tank mode, won 24 games last season and have no desire to win more this season. Schroder loses his starting spot but can be the sixth man on a really good team with high aspirations. That’s better than being on the Hawks, who are invisible even when they’re good.
