Here are five takeaways from the Thunder’s 120-106 loss to the Clippers on Friday night at Staples Center:

First quarter storm

The Clippers sprinted to a 36-18 lead thanks to 64% shooting. Meanwhile, the Thunder fired blanks from behind the arc (0-of-12) and shot just 33% overall in the first quarter.

The Thunder scored a season-high 35 points in the second quarter, and OKC beat L.A. 25-21 in the third quarter. Luguentz Dort scored 11 third-quarter points on 4-of-5 shooting.
