A big guard apparently has made a sizable impression on the Thunder.
Deonte Burton, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound guard who played college basketball at Iowa State, has signed a two-way deal with Oklahoma City, the team announced on Saturday.
The deal allows Burton to spend up to 45 days in the NBA and the rest of the season in the G League, where he’ll play for the Oklahoma City Blue.
Burton is playing this week with the Thunder’s Summer League team, and played at center on some possessions in Friday’s opener in Las Vegas.
The 24-year-old Burton played last season with Wonju Dongbu Promy of South Korea’s KBL.
