Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will add another event to his All-Star weekend plans.
The Thunder guard will replace Pistons guard Derrick Rose in the Skills Challenge, the NBA announced Thursday night. Rose dropped out of the Skills Challenge due to an adductor strain.
The Skills Challenge is one of three All-Star Saturday events that will air on TNT at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15.
Gilgeous-Alexander has already committed to represent the World Team in the Rising Stars game the night before.
The 21-year-old guard is averaging 19.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in his second NBA season.
